Sommige voorwerpen hebben al een heel leven achter zich. Ze zijn gemaakt om te worden gebruikt, om materialen te beschermen en om mee te reizen. De sporen die ze onderweg hebben opgelopen, vertellen hun eigen verhaal.
Bij The King's Elephant vind je een wisselende collectie originele, gebruikte transportkisten. Van robuuste aluminium Zarges-kisten tot militaire opbergkisten van hout en aluminium, afkomstig uit verschillende Europese landen.
Ooit ontworpen voor transport, opslag en militair gebruik. Vandaag opnieuw te gebruiken als praktische opbergkist, bijzonder interieurstuk of karaktervolle presentatiekist.
Iedere kist is anders. Sommige dragen nog originele militaire opschriften, transportlabels of oude stickers. Andere hebben een verweerde afwerking die alleen door jarenlang gebruik kan ontstaan.
Wij restaureren deze geschiedenis niet weg. Juist de gebruikssporen geven iedere kist zijn eigen karakter.
De collectie is in beperkte aantallen verkrijgbaar en wisselt regelmatig. Niet alle kisten zijn hetzelfde en ieder exemplaar is uniek.

Some objects have already lived a life of their own. They were made to be used, to protect equipment and to travel. The marks they have gathered along the way tell stories of their own.
At The King's Elephant, you will find a changing collection of original, pre-owned transport trunks. From robust aluminium Zarges cases to military storage chests made of wood and aluminium, originating from various European countries.
Originally designed for transport, storage and military use, these trunks are now ready for a new purpose. Whether as practical storage, a distinctive piece of furniture or a characterful display chest.
Every trunk is different. Some still carry their original military markings, shipping labels or old stickers. Others have a weathered finish that only years of use can create.
We do not restore away their history. It is precisely these signs of use that give each trunk its individual character.
Our collection is available in limited numbers and changes regularly. No two trunks are quite the same, and each one has its own story.
