Het belangrijkste detail is dat de hoed een zonweringscertificaat heeft van de UPF50 + norm.
Het robuuste canvasmateriaal is licht en opvouwbaar.
Verborgen in het deksel van de kroon is een "geheim compartiment" en de luchtinlaten aan de zijkant houden de drager koel, zelfs bij hoge temperaturen.
De rand is tussen de 5 cm (zijkant) en 6,5 cm (achterkant) breed.
Hierdoor biedt de hoed ook bij felle zon voldoende bescherming.
Voor een comfortabele pasvorm is de muts voorzien van een zachte hoofdband.
